FAQs
Everything clubs ask before their first match.
What do I need to stream?
A camera or encoder that supports RTMP, reliable upload connectivity and permission to broadcast. Connect to your Livey stream address and run a private test before matchday. Streaming requirements.
Can I sell tickets before setting up a camera?
Yes. Create your account and organisation, schedule the livestream, set the price and share its link. You can start selling access in your first session. Connect and test your streaming equipment before the event so you’re ready to deliver the match supporters have paid for.
Are these tickets to attend the match?
No. The tickets on Livey give supporters access to your livestream. They watch on the web or on a supported television, wherever your broadcast is available.
What does the club keep?
For pay-per-view tickets, your club keeps 85% of what remains after VAT and card transaction fees. Pro season passes pay 90% after those deductions. The calculator above gives an estimate; actual tax and fees depend on the purchase.
When does my club get paid?
At the end of each month, by bank transfer. Before your first payout we confirm your club’s identity. The check is automatic and takes moments.
How do supporters watch?
Share your event link. Supporters buy access and watch on the web or through Livey’s television apps, including Apple TV, Samsung, LG and Google TV. Availability can depend on country and device.
What can I stream on Livey?
Live sport and events you have permission to broadcast. What isn’t allowed on Livey is set out in our Terms.
Are there any upfront costs?
No. Your account and channel are free, and Livey’s share comes out of your sales rather than being charged up front. Pro is an optional monthly plan; see pricing.
How much does Livey keep?
For pay-per-view tickets, your club keeps 85% of what is left after VAT and card transaction fees, and Livey keeps 15%. For Pro season passes, your club keeps 90%. Local taxes are not included.
What does Pro add?
Season passes, up to 20 free hours a month, 10TB of storage, highlights without a watermark, and Cloud Studio when it launches. See the full comparison in pricing.
How soon can I start after signing up?
In minutes. Once you have verified your account by text message, you can publish events and put your first stream on sale.
Do I need technical know-how?
You need to connect a camera or streaming software to your Livey stream address over RTMP. Most streaming cameras and apps support it, and you can run a private test before matchday.
Can I sell to supporters anywhere in the world?
Yes. Livey works globally, apart from a few restricted territories, and you choose the countries where your stream is available.
How do I reach support?

What you need to stream
Camera
A streaming camera, a camcorder or a phone, positioned high on the halfway line. More than one camera lets you switch angles.
Sound
The camera’s own microphone works for crowd noise. Add a microphone or a small mixer if you want commentary.
Computer or encoder
Something that sends the picture to Livey over RTMP: streaming software on a laptop, a hardware encoder, or a camera that streams directly.
Internet
A reliable upload connection at the ground. Test it at the spot where the camera will stand, at match time.
